Green Aruba Conference & Trade Fair Coming Soon

Prime Minister Mike Eman and Minister of Finance, Communication, Utilities and Energy, Mike de Meza, announced the first Green Aruba Conference and Trade Fair, to take place September 29-October 3, 2010.

The Green Aruba Conference and Trade Fair will be conducted at the Renaissance Convention Center. Two guest speakers for the event, Aruban-born Dr. Edward Cheung of NASA, Principal Engineer Hubble of the Space Telescope Maintenance Project, and Professor Wubbo Ockels from TU Delft, Holland’s first astronaut and head of the Forz Hydrogen Car development team, were present at the announcement presentation via video conferencing.

“The aim of the conference is to invite Dutch, American, Regional and International ex perts on wind, solar and ma ritime energy technologies to the Island of Aruba, in order to share knowledge of new and proven technologies in these fields. The conference also aims to create a platform where knowledge is shared among the different international parties.”

The Aruba Green Congress for registered delegates will occupy the first 3 days of the upcoming event. Prime Minister Eman and Minister de Meza invite all the public, both island visitors and residents, to attend the trade fair that will complete the conference from October 1-3.

Dr. Cheung and Professor Ockels are two of a dozen experts traveling to Aruba for presentations on every aspect of renewable energy.
